Wall and floor tiling

Tiling is where this business started. NVQ Level 3 in wall and floor tiling, and over 10 years of doing it.

Wood-effect porcelain floor tiles laid in a staggered pattern by MPB Construct

Large tiles are less forgiving than small ones. The floor has to be flat, the layout planned from the middle of the room, and the cuts placed where the eye doesn't land first.

We tile kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and open-plan floors, and walls from a single splashback to a full room. Wood-effect porcelain, marble-effect slabs and plain large-format tiles are the ones we lay most.

What the job includes

  • Preparing and levelling the floor before tiling
  • Large-format porcelain on floors and walls
  • Wood-effect plank tiles in staggered or herringbone layouts
  • Marble-effect feature walls and niches
  • Trims, edges and grout matched to the tile

Getting the best result for the money

Very large tiles cost more to lay because the floor has to be flatter. A slightly smaller format often looks almost the same and saves on preparation. We explain the difference when we see the room.
